Kiosk Settings

Changes are written to config.local.json, which is layered over config.php. Kiosk screens pick them up automatically within a minute. ← back to the display

Kiosk links

Open one of these on the display and press F11 for full screen, or use it as the start page in Chromium's --kiosk mode.

This page can change what the kiosk shows. It is protected only by the passphrase in admin_token — treat it as a lock on a garden shed, not a bank vault, and don't expose the kiosk to the internet.

The radar's built-in shoreline only covers the Windsor–Detroit area. If you move the centre elsewhere, run tools/build-coastline.py to generate an outline for the new location.

Registrations to watch

Comma-separated. While one is airborne it's followed at any distance, pinned to the top and drawn in gold.

Focus on my aircraft when airborne (switches to Map view and follows it, then goes back; emergencies take priority)

Cycle through views automatically (pauses while focusing, and for 5 min after a view is picked by hand)

Primary ADS-B source

Fall back to other sources automatically

Also try the next source when one answers with zero aircraft (a source that has lost its feed looks exactly like an empty sky)

Look up routes for every tracked aircraft (fills map tooltips; more lookups on a cold cache)

Stream updates over SSE instead of polling (each display holds one PHP worker — fine for a few kiosks, not for shared hosting)
